Cookie Policy

This policy explains how HomePassport uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, which the app uses to keep you signed in. In this policy we refer to all of these as “cookies”. They can be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).

2. How we use them

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and maintain your session securely.
  • Remember your preferences, such as your sidebar layout.
  • Keep the Services secure and detect misuse or fraud.
  • Understand how the Services are used so we can improve them (only with your consent where required).

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

3. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Services to work, including authentication, security, and keeping your session active. These cannot be switched off through our systems.
  • Functional — remember your choices and preferences to give you a better experience.
  • Analytics / performance — help us understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. Where we use these, we ask for your consent first if required by law.

5. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted third parties that help us run the Services — for example our payment processor, which uses cookies to process subscriptions securely and prevent fraud. These third parties are responsible for their own cookies, and we encourage you to review their privacy and cookie notices.

6. Managing your choices

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Services from working, including signing in.
  • Consent controls — where we ask for consent (for example for analytics), you can accept or decline, and change your choice later.
  • Clearing local storage — you can clear your browser’s stored data, which will sign you out of the app.

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no agreed industry standard for responding to these signals, so we do not respond to them differently. We will update this policy if that changes.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Please review this page periodically. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

9. How to contact us
